Inkster Marine AS provides a comprehensive range of independent DP assurance services which include:
- DP FMEA and Proving Trials for Newbuilds and Retrofits: Internal procedures for the analysis of DP Systems are based on the principles of DNV-RP-D102 for analysis of redundant systems. Multi-disciplinary teams are utlised to conduct and cross check the analysis and produce robust and transparent analysis reports and test procedures in compliance with any applicable class society. The methodology and processes for such analyses are continually reviewed to ensure the latest revisions of IMCA and MTS guidance and TECHOPS are incorporated and that such guidance is carried through to testing during proving trials. The presentation of the analysis is in accordance with the OCIMF DP FMEA Assurance Framework Risk Based Guidance document.
- DP Annual Trials: Annual trials documents are produced in accordance with the principles of IMCA M190 and with the aid of MTS TECHOP O-02.
- Five Yearly Review & Trials: A structured approach is given to 5 Yearly Review/Refresh taking into consideration the latest IMCA and MTS guidance.
- ASOG/WSOG and CAM: Multi disciplinary technical and operational support is available to support the development of these operating guidelines. The primary aim of such operating guidelines are to ensure incident free DP operations with a focus on the specific industrial mission that the vessel or unit is undertaking. They are the link between the technical design of the vessel and the actual operations the vessel undertakes.
- Investigation of Incidents and Undesired Events: Support available to coordinate structured and comprehensive investigations, including careful development of the investigation team, planning, execution, report out and follow up. Various guidance documents are used when establishing the structure for such investigations including MTS TECHOP G-04.
- Gap Analyses: (DP FMEA, DP FMEA Proving Trials, DP Operations Manual, Annual DP Trials) Gap Analysis report formats are based on MTS DP Committee TECHOP guidance and the content is verified against the corresponding guidance published by IMCA and OCIMF depending on the actual document under review.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Provision of subject matter expertise and operational or technical support on issues related to the vessel’s DP System and equipment.
